Firefox 2.0 Compatibility October 25, 2006

Okay. I’ve taken 5 minutes out to make the tiny change that can fix this immediately.

I haven’t tested it. I haven’t even downloaded FF2 yet (have I already mentioned that I am absurdly busy?) but I bumped up the maximum compatibility version number so it should work.

This is all the time I can spare for this until mid-December, so I hope it works.

For me it does not work.. FF2.0 sais this plugin is only compatible with up to 1.6

MacOS X 10.4.8 (PPC)

Downloaded and ran FF2
Uninstalled “old” screen grab
Restarted FF2 to finalize uninstall
Installed screen grab from the site
Restarted FF2 to finalize install
Tested on a moderate-length page - worked fine.

Using FF2 (official Mozilla build) on Ubuntu Linux (6.06), I had the same problem with version 0.8 as Philipp; this is because the install.rdf file inside the extension has maxVersion set to 1.6

It is an easy enough matter to change the value to 2.0 and then the extension installs (and runs just fine. Please release a version 0.8.1 correcting the problem and also please upload it to https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/1146/ So that everyone can share the fun!

I hacked the install.rdf and changed the maxVersion to 2.0. The install worked, but i cant use the “save window as image”, all i get is a solid black png file. any ideas why? the other 2 methods work

Doesn’t work in frames.

click on Events -> Mouse and try to do a document screengrab.

I got the same message Phillip, above, got.

For me it does not work.. FF2.0 says this plugin is only compatible with up to 1.6

I just installed your screen grab again. I got the same message as designgrl and phillip however i kept going and it did eventually install. I clicked on several links so maybe one works and one doesnt?
Anyway when I first tried saving your entire page as an image I got an error message but the page was incredibly long (I’m guessing about 6 pages or so) so I’m wondering if thats what the error was.
I have tried all the options with a slighly shorter page and it has worked perfectly so I am now a very happy firefox 2.0 user.
This is a GREAT extension!

Does the ScreenGrab support pages wider than screen width? The output picture contains incomplete page with right scroll bar

It works! I was about to go back to Firefox 1.x because Screengrab is just indispensible.

To those who are getting the error message that it won’t work beyond Firefox 1.6, try both links on Andy’s download page:

“You can download Screengrab v0.8 (31/01/2006), or install it.

I got the error message a few times but tried again and it worked.
